SILVER SPRINGS NW
Off Leash Dog Park

Agility
Course

This advanced course offers nine (9) activities meeting the needs of all dogs of various sizes and abilities. The agility-based play equipment takes the park to the next level and offers activities suitable for the family pet to the seasoned athlete.

Obstacle
Free Play

This area offers unique obstacles  designed for the dogs to use all of their muscles, climbing, running, jumping and crawling, all while chasing and playing with each other. The obstacles require quick maneuvering, and equally quick thought process to out wit their playmate and win the game.

Watering
Hole

Water is essential in a dog park, especially in the hot summer months we get here in Calgary! We plan to install a permanent water fountain at dog level, in the dog park. The fountain will be available to all visiting dogs in the summer months!

Wind
Shelter

The geographic location of the Silver Springs Dog Park is a natural corridor along the coulees for the cold NW winds in winter months. For dog owners who use the park all year long the winds can make spending time at the park quite unbearable. We propose a wind shelter with tall trees. It will also double as a rain and sun shelter in the spring and summer.

FLEXI
PEN

Our plans for the Flexi Pen would be a small fenced off area within the existing park and is designed for multi use. It will serve as a small dog play area, a puppy/ rescue dog park introduction area, and a time out area for excited/over stimulated dogs that need a break before rejoining the fun. This area will also serve as our training area where we will host our affordable, accessible training services for dog owners of all levels. Details of our training programs coming soon!

Natural
Sniffy
Areas

Our goal is to introduce more  natural areas that will appeal to a dogs need to sniff and take in the world around them! Sniffing the ground is a calming activity which is just as beneficial to a dog as physical exercise. These pocket areas will be scattered throughout the park filled with natural elements such as boulders, trees, bushes and a variety of plants native to the area.
