About Parks 4 Paws

Parks 4 Paws Foundation is 100% run by local, dog loving volunteers. In 2021, amidst extraordinary times, the Parks 4 Paws crew all met while visiting the Silver Springs dog park. We began to meet at the park almost daily for socially distanced and safe socializing! The group started to grow, bonds between human and dogs were formed, and more and more dog owners of all experience levels started coming, eventually joining the pack! Pretty soon it was over 20 regulars every morning!
 

Throughout conversations, the group began to offer help and advice to one another, due to lack of training and resources available at the time, it was very helpful and appreciated!  We discovered our group ranged from all dog owning experience levels to experts in many areas, ranging from Veterinary to Behavior. We also began to notice and discuss how the park could use some improvements, and how our group could help the dogs and owners moving forward, by giving everyone a way to access resources and help, no matter what the circumstance, and thus, the Parks 4 Paws Foundation was born!
